I saw Mars.
I saw mars last night. Unlike people in ancient times who would have had great awe and respect for an something that bright in the nights sky, I simply watched it for a while to make sure it wasn’t an airplane. Then I went and got Ann and made her see it. Because regardless of how insignificant it is, I don’t plan on being around in 60,000 years to do it again. At the very least I have bragging rights with my future children.

Those in the greater Chicagoland area might be interested to know that They Might Be Giants will playing a $10 show this saturday as part of the Naperville Jaycees’s Last Fling 2003. TMBG is playing at 6pm between Bottle of Justus and Soul Asylum. The $10 ticket gets you in for all three shows.
TMBG also has a new clock radio available for free download from their website. It sits on your desktop and plays 2+ hours of unreleased and live songs from TMBG and associated side projects.

I otter.
So I took the What Animal Personality Are You? quiz. But I’m mad at this quiz cause I think the pictures are dumb. And I’m also mad at all these quizes that put the discriptive text in the image with out providing alt text for accessibilty… Not to mention all the quizes that disappear after a while then you can never go back and see what anyone was. So, I retyped the discription and went and found my own otter picture (which you can buy the full sized version of royalty free from istockphoto.com So anyway, here we go:

Blogstakes is doing a really neat thing. Sweepstakes for that get spread around by bloggers. If you have a blog, simply find a contest you want to win and link to it. Anyone who follows your link will get an entry form to join the contest. And if they win you get the same prize for referring them!

One of their first contests is free use of BrowserCam for a year. BrowserCam is a wonderful tool for people who make websites. The great black out of 2003.
I was driving through the city of Ann Arbor MI. when the black out hit. My story is simple.
I got stuck in non-stop-light assisted rush hour traffic. Made a 15 minute trip in 2.5 hours and had to do it again the next day cause the store I was going to was closed.
