Against all Probability

This like any other story worth telling is about a girl; a girl that I have a crush on... and against all probability seems to reciprocate my feelings as well. So here is the whole story from start to not so much finish. There is a student teacher at the preschool that I work at whose name is Amanda. I just met her at the beginning of January. We hit it off the first day. Our personalities just meshed very well. We talk about many things and I have no problem talking to her which is something that I usually have a problem with when it comes to females I like.

It seemed too ideal... so after a couple of weeks, I sicked Roxanne (the Receptionist) on her to find out if she had a significant other or not... Roxanne Promptly forgets about this until Valentines Day when I reminded her about it. Amanda never talked about a boy friend when ever we talked, which is a odd thing because if a woman has a S.O. then in my experience she will talk about him or her often especially in the presence of a person of the opposite gender. She then went to work and comes back with information through her many reliable sources, that Amanda had Broken up with her boy friend a "couple of weeks ago." Naturally this is not exactly what I wanted to hear, but I will take what I can get.

I was very excited about this, but my practical nature popped in and said, you are just setting yourself up for failure, so I went and talked to many of my friends that were girls whom I knew didn't have a biased towards or against me. That equaled 2, well... 2 that I could get a hold of at the moment.

1) The First response was from my brothers Fiancé, and it was more of a Be careful but defiantly was not a you should not do it, also my brother who happened to be present at the time of IMing warned that "The moves are a dangerous game to play." in a properly prophetic way. I would also like to point out that I do not do "moves," those are fake and scripted, I know very well that I am not smooth enough to pull them off. And... Well... those are fake and scripted...

2) Response number two came from an old friend who is also engaged. She basically said that it sounded like she was the one who did the breaking from what I told her and that I should defiantly proceed, but with caution.

So basically I got 2 go with cautions, then I talked to Roxanne later and asked her weather or not it was Amanda who did the breaking and Roxanne said she was fairly certain that Amanda was the breaker and not the breaky. This gives me hope, now all I have to do is come up with the Go-nads to ask her out to coffee, I am not going to try for a full blown date just yet, because I know I would mess it up because... well I have no clue what to do on a date. The closest thing to a date I have ever been on is prom twice and those were horrible experiences, so we will see.

Tune in the future for more information on the development. The posts will most likely be titled, "Sucks to be Me." or "Why am I an idiot?"

See yah.
